With the sound off
Every once in a while look at your life with the sound turned off.
Ignore what you say, what you believe and look at what you do. Did you plant that garden that you say is important to you?
That person who’s important to you, how have you treated them recently?
That guitar by the door, did you ever pick it up this week? This month?
That new tool that you bought and you told everyone was the only reason you haven’t started your project, have you ever tried it?
It’s important to see what your life really looks like, not what you’ve been telling yourself.
Sometimes it hurts, but it’s important.
If you don’t like what you see.
Do something about it.
(And, yes, small steps are just as powerful as big leaps.)
