I wanted to devote my next several blog posts to motivation and achieving goals, but then other ideas popped in my head that I found a lot more interesting so I’m going to shift gears and put a bunch of ideas together in one.
Here are some tips you can use to reach the goals you want to achieve this year. Hopefully something will inspire you to take action.
It’s the beginning of a New Year and many creatives have goals and plans they want to fulfill. Goals are important, whether it’s a goal to read more, eat better, create more, learn more, it’s helpful to know where you’d like to end up.
Depending on what calendar you use it’s halfway through the year. June is a good time to pause and look around and shake up some truisms.
Remember that goal you had at the beginning of the year? The one that made your heart race, the one that filled you with excitement and anticipation?
You can still achieve it. There are plenty of days left in the year.
Usually, when July comes around, many people have discarded their resolutions and goals. Some beat themselves up about it, others think their chances are gone and decide that they’ll focus on being better next year.
That doesn’t have to be you. Seize whatever time you have now. There’s a lot of it left for the taking.
Forget Focusing on Who You’re Not
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.
Around this time of year people focus on improving. Growth is important but…it becomes problematic when people start focusing on their weaknesses instead of their strengths.
Okay, so you’re carrying around an extra twenty pounds, but aren’t you a great friend and marketing whiz?
Your finances are on life support, but aren’t you’re a wizard at putting together an event on short notice?
