When it’s too hard, when creating is painful, when your mind is blank and the ideas or words just won’t come, it’s okay to stop and do something else.

Don’t stick with a plan made during a different time. Change is important. Adaption is critical to survival.

Especially a creative survival.

Stopping is strategic; it is not a sign of weakness. Sometimes it’s the most honest thing you can do.

Be still. Be quiet. Listen to yourself.

Set whatever you were working on aside. It will be still be there.

You’ll know when you’re ready to begin again.
