7 Things About the Gele You May Not Know

In my latest release, UNEXPECPTED PLEASURE, I mention Aunt Violet’s gele because the color and size tell you a lot about the woman. However, in case you aren’t familiar with this attire, I thought I’d give you a little more background. First what is a gele? The Gele (pronounced gay lay or geh leh) is a large rectangular cloth tied on a woman’s head in many different styles.

Behind the Scenes of HONEST BETRAYAL

Marriage of convenience is always a fun premise that is rife with juicy conflict for a writer to delve into, but I didn’t just choose it from a writer’s perspective. Although I was once told by an agent that nobody does a marriage of convenience anymore (whether in real life or in fiction), I just listened and smiled instead of bursting into laughter at her naivete.  First, if you’ve read my post “Forget Everybody” you know how I feel about the word NOBODY. So I turned on the TV and a man walking with a lame horse appeared on the screen. He was talking to me about his town of Anatevka and the traditions there. Soon I got to meet his wife Golda and his five daughters: Tzeitel, Hodel, Chava, Sphrintze and Bielke. I watched the movie Fiddler on the Roof transfixed. I was ten, but I knew these people. I knew this man. I…

    What about Daniella?

What do you get when you mix a Cinderella tale with a dash of Little Women a dollop of romance and a whole lot of Girard humor? A novel called THE GLASS SLIPPER PROJECT a story about four women and one eligible bachelor who’s the key to solving their financial troubles. I had lots of fun writing this story and was proud of the end product. Unfortunately, it was released to the sound of one hand clapping. Few readers bought it. But undeterred ( I was in my creative zone and having a blast) I wrote the sequel TAMING MARIELLA a fun spin on The Taming of the Shrew with…
