Doesn’t mean you’ll never be good. Not being good at something isn’t permanent.
This is why practice matters.
“You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking its good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it. That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”
Practice your writing.
Practice your art.
Practice speaking in public.
Practice using that new software.
Practice that skill you’ve always wanted to master.
Practice. Practice. Practice.
But make sure it’s fun. Turn it into a game or a challenge if you have to, but do it. Deliberately. With focus.
I don’t care if you’re awful now. History is filled with stories of those who were terrible, mediocre or average in the beginning.
Your abilities aren’t fixed.
A little consistent effort can change everything.
Just keep going.
