When no one is looking what will you do, how will you act?
When the one who screams the loudest gets all the attention, what will you whisper?
When everyone closes their ears and shuts their eyes, how will you behave?
Will you take the time in your own small way to make the world a better place? No, you won’t get noticed. You won’t receive applause.
Does it matter?
Don’t underestimate the power of a genuine kind act, an act of courageous humanity when there is no reward. Being considerate when others aren’t paying attention isn’t weakness.
It’s a bold act of optimism.
A tiny bright spot in darkness.
And we need tiny bold acts right now because while attention has its place, actions, no matter how small, moves things bit by bit.
Change always happens that way.
